
NIAGARA WELDING ACADEMY
The
majority of workers in the
Niagara Region are reaching the age of retirement.
Niagara Welding Academy is here to prepare individuals in the welding
field to fill positions that are available now, as well as those
positions that will be opening in the future. The Academy is
equipped with modern equipment which is used by the steel fabricating
industry.
These include A.C./D.C. machines for conventional Stick Welding and TIG
Welding for any metal including all alloys and MIG machines for
semi-automatic welding on bare and flux-core wire.
Our metal cutting equipment consists of three different types of
torches for manual and two types for semi-automatic cutting. We also
have instruction in gouging and plasma cutting.
PROFILE
Our
courses are designed for
the beginner or advanced welder and are taught by experienced
instructors. The students are instructed on an individual basis,
allowing the student to progress at their own pace. The Academy offers
programs starting each Monday with a flexible class schedule for
students between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Assistance with job
placements,
funding, and payment plans are also available.
It is the policy of the Academy to contibute in any way to the success
of the graduates by contacting employers to ensure that our training is
up-to-date and what is required in the trade.
