GENERAL WELDING
The
student will receive the
necessary training and skills required to perform 3 high-pressure
T.S.S.A. pipe tests and 1 high-pressure vertical test at the conclusion
of this course. Training and skills are also obtained in the
proper use and safety of hand torches, automatic torches, grinders,
gouging and plasma cutting.

PRACTICAL TRAINING
The
student will train on SMAW, GTAW and GTAW/SMAW in flat, horizontal,
vertical, positions on various joints, beveled plates and
2-inch pipe. The student will train on GMAW in flat,
horizontal,
vertical and overhead positions on various joints and beveled plate.
Students will obtain knowledge on setting various machines,
selecting
proper electrodes, machine operation, maintenance and preparation of
materials to be used.
